The year 2024 is coming to a close, and India has lost another great soul. A highly qualified man of   great learning and an economist.

During the tenure of former late PM P.V. Narasimha Rao (1991-96); Dr. Singh, as the Union Finance Minister,  ushered  India towards economic reforms. The country today is reaping the benefits of  Liberalisation, Privatisation & Globalisation (LPG) even today.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, was a Rajya Sabha MP from Assam, for the maximum number of times. Outside the Gandhi dynasty, Dr. Singh, has the rare distinction of serving as the Prime Minister for 10 long years during UPA 1 & 2 from 2004-14.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, breathed his last at AIIMS, New Delhi. He was 92 -years-old.
