It has been the sole reason for our fears and the pandemic has changed the way we live our daily lives. The corona virus keeps taking a deadly toll and this September, another Rajya Sabha MP from the state, Ashok Gasti also passed away. Suresh Angadi, a four times Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Belagavi and serving as a Union MoS Railways, from Karnataka passed away at AIIMS in the national capital on September 23 and was laid to rest in New Delhi. The news has come as a shock to the BJP karyakartas from Belagavi and the state and has left the people devastated and they are still coming to terms with the heart breaking news.
Belagavi was represented in the Lok Sabha by BJP’s Late. Suresh C. Angadi, since year 2004 and he continued his winning streak in 2009, 2014 and in 2019 general elections. In May 2019, after the BJP under PM Modi, made a comeback and the party improved its performance and added 303 Lok Sabha seats; the Belagavi LS MP finally made it to the council of Ministers and was made the Union MoS Railways. His induction as a Union Minister was a gift to the people of north Karnataka and Angadi’s contribution to the party was acknowledged and was given responsibility of the Railways. But fate had other things in store, and his untimely demise has left a big void in the party.
Late. Suresh Angadi, was a self-made man and had made his mark as a successful businessman; distinguished himself as an educationist; and had come up through his hard work and dedication to the party and was loved by all people in the constituency and entire north Karnataka. He was accessible to the common man and the countless party workers and was known for his grass roots connect with the people in the city and the entire district. He was a soft spoken person, a gentleman politician and was known for his ability to take different sections along and was loved, admired and respected for his clean brand of politics.
